The first breakthrough in breast pump
technology
in 30 years! Discover more about the best
breast pump available...
The Whittlestone is not your typical breast pump. Most women
that use it feel that it is more like an actual baby
than any other pump available. This is due to the
unique breastshield cup (the cone shaped part that goes over
the nipple and part of the breast). The Whittlestone breastshield
cup has a soft, flexible membrane that feels somewhat strange
to the touch - not quite flesh-like, but close. This membrane
actually massages the breast to stimulate let down (the initial
milk flow).
Because the ultra soft membrane rhythmically massages the
breast/areola in a manner that is the closest to an infant
suckling than any other pump available - let down occurs rapidly
and naturally.
Traditional breast pumps have a powerful pumping and vacuum
action that can be described as a vacuum SPIKE on the nipple/breast.
An infant does not apply a powerful suction (vacuum spike)
to just the nipple like these pumps. This spike can and does
cause pain in many women. Some women have experienced varying
degrees of soft tissue damage.
The Whittlestone breast pump does not pull on the nipple
like other breast pumps. Rather, it presses on the areola
in combination with a light suction. This action does not
spike on the nipple (if you have dry & cracked nipples
or breast engorgement you will absolutely LOVE the Whittlestone).
This pressing on the areola feels more like an actual baby
than any other breast pump.
The Whittlestone breast pump comes with a 3 year warranty
- compared to 1 year (or less) to the other breast pumps.
It has been built with reliability, strength and comfort as
underlining principles that are followed religiously.
It also offers hospital grade dependability and performance
with the convenience of a carrying bag for mothers "on-the-go".
The motor is identical to the Whittlestone Hospital Expresser.
Your really can feel the difference if you pick up and compare
a Whittlestone to the more popular breast pumps.
For a limited time all Whittlestone pump
orders will receive a pack of Anti-Bacterial Wipes that can
be used for cleaning breast pumps, breast pump accessories
and other hard, non-porous surfaces: changing tables, high
chairs, cribs... |
Here is an example of how the Whittlestone
is changing breast pumping:
"I have been trialing the Whittlestone Breast expresser
with clients in the Breastfeeding Clinic here at Meriter Hospital.
All have reported that it is very similar to how a baby feels
when breastfeeding. All of these women have used other breast
pumps so they know what the other breast pumps feel like.
Every woman that tried the Whittlestone inquired about where
they could get it. The Whittlestone is a welcome addition
to the breast pump (or in Whittlestone terminology--breast
expresser) market. We are awaiting the arrival of the Hospital-grade
version of the Whittlestone to trial with our Special Care
Nursery mothers.

PS: My daughter will only pump with the Whittlestone. She
has another brand that she will not use since I got the Whittlestone
for her."
Here is another example:
"Thank you Whittlestone for making a pump that doesn't
hurt! I used a different pump* for my first baby 3 years ago
and always had pain to some degree, but I bit my lip because
I was committed to give my baby breastmilk.
I just had my second and WOW, what a difference. My baby
gave me a very painful cracked nipple on my right side because
he is a very aggressive nurser. With the Whittlestone, I was
able to get milk from that breast that NO WAY would I have
used my other pump* because of its painful tugging action.
In fact, I was able to heal in just 4 days because I didn't
have to nurse on that side and used the Expresser to stimulate
my milk.
After using both machines, I choose the Whittlestone Expresser
hands down! I don't know why anyone would use anything else!"
